Welcome-to-Las-Vegas-Sign

I’m heading to Vegas for an Arbonne Global Training Conference and since it’s going to be my first time there, I posted on Facebook asking for Vegas travel tips.  Well my FB friends didn’t disappoint!  Here are some of the top tips from my Truly Epic Facebook friends.

Map it.  Before leaving home, check out the area where you’ll be staying using an Ariel view.  Get a sense of the layout.  Screen save or print a map of the area.  If you’re not certain how to do this.  Go to Google maps, plug in the address, on the bottom right hand corner click on show imagery, click on earth and then zoom in.  It’s an easy peasy way of getting you familiar with your destination, that helps you recognize some of the landmarks on your trip, before you even leave home.

Measure it.  Figure out how to get to restaurants like those at the Paris Hotel or local sites like Fairmount Street downtown, that you’ll want to visit.  Measure the distance to see what the best way of getting around is.  Should you walk it, take a shuttle, taxi, uber or rent a car.  If you measure some of these distances before you leave home, you can have a plan of action in place to help you make the best choices in terms of time and money.

MEC it.  Travel packs are lifesavers.  Whether you get the ones from MEC or somewhere else, this is a surefire way of optimizing the space in your luggage.  I love to organize my outfits before hand so this is also a good way of separating and cataloguing what I’m bringing with me.

Minimize it.  Your expenses that is lol.  Personally, I’m not a coupon person although I wish I was.  I have friends who make ‘couponing’ look like an active sport but I’ve never been able to figure out how to make it work for me.  That being said, one of my FB friends suggested picking up a couple coupons at the airport when we arrive in Vegas.  I might get some cool deals that I wouldn’t have otherwise.
